DAY SERVICES COUNSELOR

at our Enrichment Center in Chicopee - for adults with brain injuries

ServiceNet's Enrichment Center provides day services to people with brain injuries. This position will provide personal care to our participants as well as transportation to and from the center.  Programming is flexible and dynamic, allowing for individual participants to choose from an array of activities at the center as well as in the community. The goal of the Enrichment Center is to provide a fulfilling experience for the participants and to enhance their quality of life as they continue the process of rehabilitation and community reintegration.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

We provide the same level of care in programs that we'd want for anyone we love.

  • A passion for and experience working with people who are living with a disability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field a plus!
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the requirements of this position.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • A hobby or special interest you would enjoy sharing with residents and colleagues, and a sense of humor!

We'd also conduct a routine background check.

SCHEDULE:

Vacancy 1

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Total = 40 hours

Vacancy 2

Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Total = 40 hours

WHAT WE OFFER: 

We provide a paid orientation, and training to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, the Medication Administration Program (MAP), and Applied Non-Violence.

a $.40 wage differential will be paid for MAP certification.
