Mental Health Outreach Counselor
We're looking for people to join our team who have a passion for helping people in mental health recovery. Collaborating with colleagues and organizations in the community, we all work together to support each program participant in meeting his or her unique goals and needs.
As an Outreach Counselor, you will:
You are friendly, confident, resourceful, and you easily connect with all kinds of people. Comfortable using a computer for record-keeping and other purposes, you may already have some experience in the mental health field. Having a Bachelor's degree or MAP certified would also be a plus. And since you will be covering a lot of territory in any given week, you need to have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Monday – Friday 12pm-8pm
Total = 40 hours
WHAT WE OFFER:
We provide a paid orientation, and training to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, the Medication Administration Program (MAP), and Applied Non-Violence. In addition to our starting wage of $12.50/hour a $.50 wage differential will be paid for MAP certification.
